Welcome to Gurjas Notebooks. Here, we believe in clear communication about how we operate and your rights when using our site.
Introduction
These are the terms and conditions for using gurjasnotebooks.com and placing orders with us. Please read them before you buy — they’re written in plain English, not legalese, because we want you to actually understand them.
The website is operated by Amarjit Singh Kamboj, trading as Gurjas Industries, a notebook manufacturer based at D-XX, Focal Point, Patiala, Punjab – 147001. Our GSTIN is 03ARXXXXXXXXXXX.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you don’t agree with any part of them, please don’t use the site or place an order.
We may update these terms from time to time (see Section 12). Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Who Can Place an Order
To buy from gurjasnotebooks.com, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old, or be placing an order with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian
- Have a valid delivery address within India
- Provide accurate contact and shipping details at checkout
We sell to individual customers and to wholesale buyers. Both are welcome. If you’re ordering for resale or in bulk, please visit our Wholesale page for more information.
We reserve the right to refuse orders from anyone who misuses the site or repeatedly violates these terms.
3. Products and Pricing
All prices on gurjasnotebooks.com are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable GST.
A GST-compliant tax invoice will be issued with every order, using our GSTIN: 03ARXXXXXXXXXXX. You’ll receive your invoice by email once your order is confirmed.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price you see at the time you complete checkout is the price you pay — price changes after you’ve placed your order will not affect it.
We make every effort to display product images, descriptions, and specifications accurately. However, if we discover a significant error in the price or description of an item you’ve ordered, we’ll contact you before dispatching. You’ll have the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund.
Free delivery is available on orders above ₹499.
4. Order Acceptance and Cancellation
Placing an order on our website is an offer to buy. Your order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email from us. That’s when a contract is formed.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if:
- The item is out of stock or unavailable
- There is an error in the price or product listing
- The order appears fraudulent, duplicated, or suspicious
- We’re unable to verify payment or delivery details
If we cancel your order after payment has been made, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Want to cancel your own order? Contact us as soon as possible at amarjit@gmail.com or on WhatsApp. If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, we’ll cancel it and refund you in full. Once dispatched, our Refund & Returns Policy applies.
5. Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
Prepaid (online payment) — Secure payments via our payment gateway — including debit cards, credit cards, UPI, and net banking. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely. We do not store your card or banking details.
Cash on Delivery (COD) — COD is available on eligible orders. Payment is made in cash to the delivery agent at the time of delivery. Please keep the exact amount ready where possible.
COD may not be available for all pin codes or order values. If COD is unavailable for your location, you’ll be notified at checkout.
6. Shipping and Delivery
We dispatch orders from our facility in Patiala, Punjab. Estimated delivery times are:
- Punjab, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Himachal Pradesh: 2–4 business days
- Rest of India: 4–7 business days
These are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can happen due to public holidays, high-demand periods, courier backlogs, or circumstances outside our control (weather, strikes, natural events). We are not liable for delivery delays caused by third-party couriers or events beyond our control.
You’ll receive a tracking number by email or WhatsApp once your order is dispatched.
If your order can’t be delivered (RTO — Return to Origin) — If the courier attempts delivery and is unsuccessful — because no one was home, the address was incorrect, or the package was refused — the order will be returned to us.
- Prepaid orders: We’ll contact you to arrange re-delivery (a re-delivery fee may apply) or issue a refund for the product value, minus the original shipping cost.
- COD orders: If a COD delivery is refused or the courier cannot complete delivery, the order is returned to us at our cost. No refund is issued for refused COD deliveries, as no payment was made.
Repeated COD refusals: If a customer refuses COD deliveries on multiple occasions, we reserve the right to disable the COD option for that customer on future orders.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on gurjasnotebooks.com — including text, product descriptions, blog posts, photographs, product images, logos, and the website design itself — belongs to Gurjas Industries (Amarjit Singh Kamboj) unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our written permission.
You’re welcome to share links to our pages or products. Reproducing our product photos, descriptions, or copy on another website or platform without permission is not allowed.
8. Prohibited Use
When using this website, you agree not to:
- Place fraudulent, fake, or malicious orders
- Provide false contact or address information
- Use the website to scrape, harvest, or collect data about our products or customers
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, or compromise the website or its security
- Impersonate another person or business when placing an order
- Engage in any activity that violates Indian law
We reserve the right to block access to the website and cancel any outstanding orders if we believe these terms are being violated.
9. Limitation of Liability
We sell physical notebooks manufactured at our facility in Patiala. We take quality seriously and stand behind our products.
We are responsible for: Sending you the correct product in good condition, issuing accurate invoices, and resolving genuine complaints in a reasonable time.
We are not responsible for: Delays caused by third-party couriers, losses that arise from using (or being unable to use) our website, indirect or consequential losses, or issues resulting from information you provided incorrectly at checkout.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase on this website is limited to the value of the order in question.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Indian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising from the use of this website or from a purchase made here will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Patiala, Punjab, India.
We always prefer to resolve disputes directly and amicably. If you have a problem, please contact us first — most issues can be sorted out quickly without involving anyone else.
